& Intramuscular Ketamine
SPRAVATO® (esketamine) is an intranasal form of ketamine that is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression and depression with suicidal ideation. It is covered by most commercial health insurance plans, as well as Medi-Cal and Medicare. Intramuscular ketamine is used by intermuscular injection, similar to how one receives a flu shot. It is used off-label for depression, suicidal ideation, PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health disorders. Both are safe, evidence-based treatments that offer an affordable alternative or supplement to traditional psychiatric medications that may not adequately treat your symptoms. Nor do they cause unwanted side effects. Treatment plans for either option can be tailored to your specific needs and goals, and often provide immediate relief.
